FYI: Winston-Salem Youth Chorus Presents their Winter Celebration Concert

The Winston-Salem Youth Chorus will hold their annual Winter Celebration concert entitled “Sing Me the Sounds of Winter” on Saturday, Dec 3rd at 7:00pm at Hanes Auditorium at the Salem Fine Arts Center on the campus of Salem College. The event will showcase the beautiful voices of 90 talented singers ranging in age from 8-18 as they perform a variety of choral pieces that are sure to amaze audiences.

The WSYC is known for their professional musicianship and quality choral performances. They frequently perform with the Winston-Salem Symphony, Piedmont Wind Symphony, UNCSA, professional artists and ensembles of highest caliber each year plus tour nationally and internationally. Their angelic voices will surely bring joy as we enter the holiday season and move the audience with the beauty of their tone, mastery of singing in other languages and overall choral expertise.

Tickets for the concert are $15 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased in advance HERE or by calling 336-703-0001 Mon-Fri 9:30am-5pm, or at the door. The proceeds of ticket sales help fund part of the operations of the chorus.

The Winston-Salem Youth Chorus is a non-profit arts organization comprised of auditioned singers grades 3rd-12th representing over 40 schools in Forsyth and surrounding counties. Annual tuition is kept at a modest rate and scholarships are provided to those in need in order to keep the program available to all children and youth in the community.
