On Friday patrol officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of Broadbay Drive. officers found a hispanic male unresponsive and lying in front of 3011 Apartment B, Broadbay Drive. EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased. The victim was subsequently identified as 39 year-old Roberto Bustos, a resident on Broadbay Dr.
The initial investigation revealed that the victim suffered from multiple gunshot wounds. According to witnesses the shooting appears to have been the result of a verbal conflict between Mr. Bustos and another hispanic male in his mid to late 30’s.
This is the 7th homicide to occur in 2014, as compared to 2 homicides for the same period of time in 2013. The investigation into Mr. Bustos death continues.

Police have identified a suspect in Mr. Bustos’ murder. A warrant has been sworn out for Pablo Mojica Fuentes for 1st Degree murder. He ramins at large at this time.
